Tomatoes and shrimp will be grown here

In Frövi, the first step has now been taken towards building greenhouses for growing tomatoes and shrimp. Regenergy Frövi is behind the investment. Two greenhouses of 10 hectares each will be heated with residual heat from BillerudKorsnäs to produce vegetables and shrimp.

FVB has been commissioned by Linde Energi to provide support in regards to contract issues and planning for peak and reserve capacity, comprised of an oil boiler and a pellet boiler for reserve heat production. The system will also include a hot water accumulator. Cultivation is expected to start in the autumn of 2023.
