3D scanning and analysis of pipe systems in Umeå

Ålidhem’s heating plant is one of Umeå Energi’s largest facilities. FVB has been commissioned to perform 3D scanning to create an accurate 3D model of existing pipe systems and analyze them through expansion calculation/stress analysis.

The goal of the project is to identify critical pipelines from a strength perspective and to construct a living 3D model as part of the life cycle analysis of the facility.
