Major renovation of Gonäs’ sewage treatment plant

Gonäs’ sewage treatment plant in Ludvika Municipality has been updated for today’s needs and a major renovation will be completed in May. The plant was built in 1972–74 and since then some minor renovations have been made as well as a major renovation in 1997. The existing cleaning equipment has been replaced during the current renovation. A new intake building has also been constructed, where new cleaning grilles, a new external sludge collector and a new sand washer have been installed, among other things. Pipes have been laid in the ground between the buildings to connect to the existing process. The control system for the process has also been replaced.

FVB has been responsible for the electrical work and building control boxes, programming the control systems, panels, and master system, as well as deploying and adjusting boxes and control systems.

Grytnäs Projekt is the general contractor and is the client for the assignments.
