Lars Osseén, the new Office Manager at FVB at Sundsvall

Lars Osseén, you are the new Office Manager at FVB at Sundsvall and are returning to the company. What tempted you back?

FVB is a company that is fun to work for, largely thanks to the many highly skilled employees who all help each other. We also work in many different fields, which I find inspirational. When I last worked for FVB, I was Project Manager. Now I am the Office Manager, which should be an interesting challenge.

How would you describe the work of the office now?

We have just under 20 people spread around our offices in Sundsvall, Ljusdal and Hudiksvall. We work within all of FVB’s fields and hope to be working with more tasks within production and construction moving forwards.

What would you like to see being developed?

Services within digitisation. I was most recently at Sundsvall Energi where I worked for eight years within business development in district heating and cooling. One of the things I take with me from there is the increased digitisation happening within the energy industry. In simple terms, energy companies and major heating customers become partners through initiatives such as ‘flexibility agreements’ and thereby create more efficient district heating systems. FVB has the skills and experience within property and production, where we are already helping property owners with adjustments and efficiency improvements. Together with energy companies, FVB can develop and facilitate new partnerships in altogether more digitised energy systems.

Water is an area which will require bigger investments moving forwards. How will that affect FVB’s work and the office you manage?

There is a considerable maintenance shortfall for water companies locally and in the rest of Sweden. We believe there is growing demand for us to handle project management and design, and we are getting more projects within water.

What do you look forward to the most as Office Manager?

Personally, it’s that in my new role, I have HR responsibility, which I like and find inspirational.
