Gävle and Sandviken are being connected

Gävle Energi and Sandviken Energi will connect their district heating systems through a 20-km-long line.

FVB has been commissioned to design and construct the lines with associated drawings and procurement documentation in two of three stages. The lines will be dimension DN500. Design and procurement will take place in 2021, and the lines will be put into operation in 2023.

The investment contributes to a carbon reduction of approximately 46,000 tons per year and is partially funded by Klimatklivet with 210 million SEK.
