FVB has won the competitive bidding for the design and design management in the collaborative project between Gävle Energi and Sandviken Energi. Two out of three sections have been assigned to FVB and the journey towards interconnecting Gävle and Sandviken’s district heating networks now begins. The 23 km-long pipeline runs through everything from urban environments and forests to railway crossings and roads.
The result of the project will be reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 46,000 tons per year by phasing out fossil fuels.
FVB thanks Gävle Energi and their partner Sandviken Energi for their trust and looks forward to a rewarding collaboration.
