District heating line being moved from aqueduct

FVB has been given an exciting assignment to reroute the district heating line between Norrköping and Söderköping. The reason for the rerouting is that a new bypass will be built past Söderköping and it will pass under the Göta Canal in a new aqueduct where the district heating line is currently located.

The rerouted district heating line will be placed next to the area that is being excavated for the aqueduct. The entire rerouting has to be done this summer, because all of Söderköping will be without district heating while it is being connected and it must be completed before the construction of the aqueduct begins.
